VICTOR GRAPHICS PURCHASES NEW ACORO A7 PERFECT BINDER

Victor Graphics recently purchased a new Muller Martini Acoro A7 Perfect Binder completing a $6 million dollar capital expansion project for 2005. The new addition in Victor Graphics bindery will replace the current Starplus binder and will operate in conjunction with the existing Muller Martini Norm binder. Installation is expected to be completed in January 2006.

Other items included in this capital expansion project are a Timson T48A Web Press, a Creo Magnus (VLF) CTP Platesetter, and Creo Prinergy Digital Workflow software which have enabled Victor Graphics to streamline its operations and reduce turnaround time.

Reese Hicks (President of Victor Graphics) explains, The Acoro binder acquisition is a natural extension of Victor's goal to continually shorten the production cycle time and provide our customers with faster schedules. The most unique and exciting feature is that this binder is a fully automated make-ready system. When the operator enters basic binding specs for a book (bulk and trim size) the binder automatically sets up and eliminates approximately fifty percent of make-ready time. In addition all reprints are stored in a database that can be retrieved as needed with virtually zero make-ready time.

The installation of the new Acoro A7 perfect binder will help Victor Graphics achieve these goals.
