VICTOR GRAPHICS INTRODUCES COMPREHENSIVE QUALITY CONTROL INITIATIVE

May 26th, 2004

Project Heads Up Will Implement Higher Level of Quality as Baltimore Book Printer Seeks to Enter New Markets

Baltimore, MD Victor Graphics, a book manufacturing services company located here, recently announced a comprehensive quality control program that will encompass nearly every facet of the company's business.

The Project Heads Up program was introduced to Victor Graphics employees during a company-wide meeting in mid-April. Please click the photo for a hi-res version.
Titled Project Heads Up, the program was officially launched in mid-April during a company-wide meeting. According to Reese Hicks, Vice President of Operations at Victor Graphics, the Project Heads Up program is designed to improve the overall customer experience.

At Victor Graphics, we define poor quality as anything that negatively impacts the customer, said Hicks. The Project Heads Up program will put measurements and procedures in place that seek to eliminate poor quality at every step of the project life cycle, from prepress to packing and shipping.

The introduction of Projects Heads Up comes on the heels of the company's announcement that it has purchased two new printing presses. The new presses - a Heidelberg sheetfed and a Timsons web press - will offer existing customers improved print quality and turnaround times, and will also allow Victor Graphics to enter new markets.

While Victor Graphics remains committed to the book publishing industry, we believe that a broader range of customers would appreciate the services that we provide, said Reese Hicks. The combination of a significant equipment upgrade and the Project Heads Up program will ensure that Victor Graphics remains competitive and successful in these new markets.
